Some Tips on How You Can Prepare For The CEE (Combined Entrance Exam)
By Gaurav, Section Success Tips
Soon it will be time for the CEE (Combined Entrance Exam), which gives admission to NSIT (Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology) and DCE (Delhi College of Engineering). This examination is usually held in the last week of May. Some of the following tips may come in handy while preparing for the CEE:
Firstly, the students should focus on the prescribed syllabus as some of the topics here are not included in the JEE curriculum. They must spend sufficient time mastering the important topics and devote adequate time on all three subjects. Instead of avoiding topics that they find tough, additional time and attention must be devoted to them, as, in most cases, it is a psychological fear that prevents a student from doing well in that particular subject. Secondly, doubts should be cleared as and when they surface, because ac cumulation of doubts only leads to confusion at the time of the examination, with piles of queries and unanswered questions. Thirdly, the previous years' papers should be practiced with timing. These papers are of great help as questions are very often repeated in the CEE. Also, most books give a chapterwise analysis on the past papers. Last but not the least, Inorganic chemistry must be given more attention as it has a substantial weightage in the CEE. These chapters must be revised a number of times, so that in the exam, the students are confident enough of answering questions based on these topics. Some important topics for CEE in each subject include Limits, Vectors, Integration, Matrices and Determinants for Mathematics; Capacitors, AC, DC, Optics for Physics and Stoichiometry, Ionic Equilibrium, Thermodynamics, Electrochemistry and Reaction Mechanisms in Chemistry.
