IIT Roorkee Announces Isis B-Plan Contest

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, in partnership with Geodesic, a software solutions company, has launched a nationwide contest `Isis. The Bplan Competition' promote next-generation entrepreneurs in India. The contest is open to students of all recognised Indian universities. Participants must submit an original business plan by February 25, 2007. Ten best plans will be selected for the final presentation round slated to be held on March 17, 2007. The first three winners will be awarded prizes worth Rs 50,000, 25,000 and 15,000, respectively and will be given the option to incubatr their companies with the IIT's STEP (Science and Technological Entrepreneurially Park) for a year.
