Fellowship to JNU Students Raised

Consequent upon the decision of University Grants Commission for granting fellowship to M.Phil/Ph.D. students and the subsequent release of funds, the fellowship paid to the M.Phil/Ph.D students of JNU has been raised from Rs 1,500 per month to Rs 3,000 per month for M.Phil students and Rs 5,000 per month for Ph.D students from April 2007.
The M.Phil/Ph.D students from science stream will also be given a contingency grant of Rs 10,000 per annum whereas rest of the Phil/Ph.D students will receive a contingency of Rs 8,000 per annum. Source- Tribune, 22-06-07
