The Indira Gandhi National Open University (Ignou) on Monday launched online courses in two subjects and said it would offer all its courses online to help students pursue higher studies from home.
The new courses are MA in library science and a post-graduate certificate in cyber law. "This is just a beginning. We will offer all our courses in print and online modes," the Ignou vice-chancellor, Prof. V.N.

Rajasekharan Pillai, said after launching the courses.

All academic activities like admission, classes, assignments and examinations will be held online in these courses. The courses will provide a virtual learning environment right from registration to certification.

The students will have to furnish their details through the Internet to get admission while Ignou will provide the course material and classes on its website.
