Delhi University pro vice-chancellor S K Tandon on Sunday inaugurated a new library at the Ramakrishna Mission in Paharganj. Stocked with 15,000 books, this new library at Ramakrishna Mission is the only library for the DU students at the undergraduate level.

"DU has spent Rs 4 lakh on getting the books and Rs 2 lakh on computers. Students can become members by submitting a form signed by the principal of their college and paying a nominal fee,'' said S Majumdar, head librarian, DU.

"There are so many colleges in the vicinity. Considering the peaceful environment at the Mission, the library will be an ideal place where students can study,'' said Swami Shantatmananda, secretary, Ramakrishna Mission.
