STUDENTS of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University ( GGSIPU) may have to shell out as much as 30 per cent extra as fees under a new regulation drafted by the State Fee Regulatory Committee of the Delhi government.
The committee, under the chairmanship of former Delhi chief secretary S. Raghunathan, has drafted a fees increment proposal for the university's self- financing private affiliated institutes for 2009- 12. Students who had taken admission in 2009 will have to pay the difference amount based on the new fees structure in the current academic session. " All self- financing private affiliated institutes have implemented the Sixth Pay Commission's pay scales for teachers. Thus they need to generate more funds for the enhanced salaries," D. K. Bandopadhyay, the GGSIPU vice- chancellor, said. Source: Mail Today Private univ fees set to go up in Capital Click On "Full story" For More...
