Now, MCom Classes Only At North Campus
By akanshaa, Section Notice Board
Delhi University (DU) has decided to shift all classes for MCom (masters of commerce) held on South Campus to North Campus from this academic session. The decision was taken after a proposal by the commerce department. The university on July 1 issued a notification regarding this.
According to the notification, teachers and other staff members posted on South Campus stand merged with the department of commerce on North Campus. A total of 254 students are admitted each year for the MCom programme on North Campus as against 123 seats. DU administration said a separate section will be created for South Campus students. However, teachers are criticizing the move stating it was a violation of the admission rules and the University Act. Secretary of Indian Accounting Association, Delhi Chapter, J L Gupta said the move is regressive and has no sanction of statutory bodies. Source: Times Of India Now, MCom classes only at North Campus
